Elephant Class (2 years)
Teachers: Shea Blosser and Lisa Powell
Heard about our herd? We are the Elephant Class at Little Ridge and are excited to tell you some about our little herd. We start off each morning with hugs and a welcome before we play with all our toys, like our kitchen and trucks. We work on our bible memory verse for the month and read a bible story before going out to the playground for some well-deserved fun. Then we get a snack and devour it! (It’s been hard work playing outside!) Next, we work on our numbers, letters, colors, and shapes and make a craft. Since we are almost 3, we are learning about independence too. While we play games, dance, and read books, we are learning social skills. Loving our friends, sharing with others, and gaining independence is very important to us. Then we go to music class and have a blast! After lunch, we lay down for nap. After all, it’s been a long day. Then more hugs and we are headed home. Whew! On Tuesday we also fit in a tumbling class given by Mrs. Debbie and Thursdays, we go to chapel.
We have so much fun in the Elephant Class! We are constantly laughing and use everything as a learning opportunity. Ms. Shea and Mrs. Lisa sure do love getting to teach us and consider it an honor to be part of the LakeRidge program. We will see you in the Elephant herd!
